Within each data type there are only certain data fields which are required. For example, when creating an Incident Event you must entere an Incident Type, and Incident Category and an Incident Date. Many of the other fields are not required. When you click on the submit button, any required fields which have not been selected will be highlighted and you will not be able to submit the form until you complete those data fields.
