The starting point in IncidentAnalytix is to create an Event. The Event must either be an Incident or a Close Call/Near Miss. This is selected on each Event in the Incident Category dropdown list.
- Incident: An Event where there is some level of negative outcome or consequence
- Close Call/Near Miss: An Event where there was no negative outcome or consequence but there was the potential for negative outcome or consequence.
