Private Cloud Administrators can now add Custom Language Labels to the Incident Event Data Type. This is the only Data Type available for customization at that time and it is only available for the English language. This is accomplished through accessing the Languages Setting in the Administration section.
By default, labels throughout the application come from static files. The Languages section allows you to create your own labels which are stored in a database table and these values are used in place of the static values when they exist in the table. Any changes you make do not impact the static files in the application.
NOTE: This Language Editing feature should only be used to change Incident Data Table labels. The Language Editor allows for customization of the Core Application labels as well. Changing any of these labels could be extremely confusing for users and could result in configuration errors in your application and could result in loss of data. Users accept full responsibility for making any Language changes. If you create any errors, you can use the Reset to defaults button to erase all of the changes you have made in the Languages Database table and the original static values will be used.
For the Private Cloud, if Custom Labels are created at the Host Level, they will apply to all Tenants. Tenants can also be granted permission through Roles, to access the Language Settings if that is desired. In that case the Tenants' Custom Labels will take precedence over the Host Custom Labels.
Access the Languages Settings from the Administration section.
Select the Language that you wish to customize. The Language must be Active.
Click Change texts to edit specific label values.
Select the item you wish to edit.
Edit the text value to the new value you wish to display.
Enter your new custom value in the lower text box.
You can see the new Target Value in the Grid.
Here is how your new Label Value will display on the web page.
If you need to Reset your custom language values, click the Reset to defaults button. NOTE: This will reset all values stored in the database. The application will revert to the standard static settings.
